<오늘 남편과 묵상한 말씀>
창세기(Gen) 25장
23. 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 두 국민이
네 태중에 있구나 두 민족이 네 복중에서부터
나누이리라 이 족속이 저 족속보다 강하겠고
큰 자가 어린 자를 섬기리라 하셨더라
23. The LORD said to her, “Two nations are
in your womb, and two peoples from within
you will be separated; one people will be
stronger than the other, and the older will
serve the younger.”
로마서(Rom) 9장
7. 또한 아브라함의 씨가 다 그의 자녀가 아니라
오직 이삭으로부터 난 자라야 네 씨라 불리리라
하셨으니
7. Nor because they are his descendants
are they all Abraham’s children.
On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that
your offspring will be reckoned.”
8. 곧 육신의 자녀가 하나님의 자녀가 아니요
오직 약속의 자녀가 씨로 여기심을 받느니라
8. In other words, it is not the children by
physical descent who are God’s children,
but it is the children of the promise who
are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.
9. 약속의 말씀은 이것이니 명년 이 때에
내가 이르리니 사라에게 아들이 있으리라
하심이라
9. For this was how the promise was stated:
“At the appointed time I will return, and
Sarah will have a son.”
10. 그뿐 아니라 또한 리브가가 우리 조상 이삭
한 사람으로 말미암아 임신하였는데
10. Not only that, but Rebekah’s children
were conceived at the same time by our
father Isaac.
11. 그 자식들이 아직 나지도 아니하고 무슨 선이나
악을 행하지 아니한 때에 택하심을 따라 되는
하나님의 뜻이 행위로 말미암지 않고
오직 부르시는 이로 말미암아 서게 하려 하사
11. Yet, before the twins were born or
had done anything good or bad—in order
that God’s purpose in election might stand:
12. 리브가에게 이르시되 큰 자가 어린 자를
섬기리라 하셨나니
12. not by works but by him who calls—
she was told, “The older will serve
the younger.”
13. 기록된 바 내가 야곱은 사랑하고
에서는 미워하였다 하심과 같으니라
13. Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved,
but Esau I hated.”
14. 그런즉 우리가 무슨 말을 하리요
하나님께 불의가 있느냐 그럴 수 없느니라
14. What then shall we say? Is God unjust?
Not at all!

12. 이삭이 그 땅에서 농사하여 그 해에
백 배나 얻었고 여호와께서 복을 주시므로
12. Isaac planted crops in that land
and the same year reaped a hundredfold,
because the LORD blessed him.
13. 그 사람이 창대하고 왕성하여 마침내
거부가 되어
13. The man became rich, and his wealth
continued to grow until he became very
wealthy.
