민수기(Num) 21장
5. 백성이 하나님과 모세를 향하여 원망하되 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 인도해 내어 이 광야에서 죽게 하는가 이 곳에는 먹을 것도 없고 물도 없도다 우리 마음이 이 하찮은 음식을 싫어하노라 하매
5. they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!”
6. 여호와께서 불뱀들을 백성 중에 보내어 백성을 물게 하시므로 이스라엘 백성 중에 죽은 자가 많은지라
6. Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died.
8. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 불뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 매달아라 물린 자마다 그것을 보면 살리라
8. The LORD said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.”
9. 모세가 놋뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 다니 뱀에게 물린 자가 놋뱀을 쳐다본즉 모두 살더라
9. So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.
16. 거기서 브엘에 이르니 브엘은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하시기를 백성을 모으라 내가 그들에게 물을 주리라 하시던 우물이라
16. From there they continued on to Beer, the well where the LORD said to Moses, “Gather the people together and I will give them water.”
34. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 그를 두려워하지 말라 내가 그와 그의 백성과 그의 땅을 네 손에 넘겼나니 너는 헤스본에 거주하던 아모리인의 왕 시혼에게 행한 것 같이 그에게도 행할지니라
34. The LORD said to Moses, “Do not be afraid of him, for I have delivered him into your hands, along with his whole army and his land. Do to him what you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon.”
35. 이에 그와 그의 아들들과 그의 백성을 다 쳐서 한 사람도 남기지 아니하고 그의 땅을 점령하였더라
35. So they struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army, leaving them no survivors. And they took possession of his land.

요한복음(Joh) 3장
12. 내가 땅의 일을 말하여도 너희가 믿지 아니하거든 하물며 하늘의 일을 말하면 어떻게 믿겠느냐
12. I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?
13. 하늘에서 내려온 자 곧 인자 외에는 하늘에 올라간 자가 없느니라
13. No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.
14. 모세가 광야에서 뱀을 든 것 같이 인자도 들려야 하리니
14. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
15. 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이니라
15. that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”
16. 하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라
16. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17. 하나님이 그 아들을 세상에 보내신 것은 세상을 심판하려 하심이 아니요 그로 말미암아 세상이 구원을 받게 하려 하심이라
17. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18. 그를 믿는 자는 심판을 받지 아니하는 것이요 믿지 아니하는 자는 하나님의 독생자의 이름을 믿지 아니하므로 벌써 심판을 받은 것이니라
18. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
19. 그 정죄는 이것이니 곧 빛이 세상에 왔으되 사람들이 자기 행위가 악하므로 빛보다 어둠을 더 사랑한 것이니라
19. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
20. 악을 행하는 자마다 빛을 미워하여 빛으로 오지 아니하나니 이는 그 행위가 드러날까 함이요
20. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
21. 진리를 따르는 자는 빛으로 오나니 이는 그 행위가 하나님 안에서 행한 것임을 나타내려 함이라 하시니라
21. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

*불뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 매달아라 물린 자마다
그것을 보면 살리라
뱀에게 물린자들ㅡ사단, 죄아래 있는 자들
*모세가 광야에서 뱀을 든 것 같이
인자도 들려야 하리니
장대에 들린 놋뱀처럼 예수님이 십자가에
매달려 들리게 되시고 그것을 보고 믿으면
죄사함을 받고 영생을 얻고 살게된다.
■ 구약을 보면서 신약의 예수님을
발견해야 하는 필연적 이유는 구약이
예수님에 대해서 기록된 책이기 때문이다■
