사사기(Jdg) 1장
22. 요셉 가문도 벧엘을 치러 올라가니
여호와께서 그와 함께 하시니라
22. Now the tribes of Joseph attacked
Bethel, and the LORD was with them.
23. 요셉 가문이 벧엘을 정탐하게 하였는데
그 성읍의 본 이름은 루스라
23. When they sent men to spy out
Bethel (formerly called Luz),
24. 정탐꾼들이 그 성읍에서 한 사람이 나오는
것을 보고 그에게 이르되 청하노니 이 성읍의
입구를 우리에게 보이라 그리하면 우리가
네게 선대하리라 하매
24. the spies saw a man coming out of the city
and they said to him, “Show us how to get
into the city and we will see that you are
treated well.”
25. 그 사람이 성읍의 입구를 가리킨지라
이에 그들이 칼날로 그 성읍을 쳤으되 오직
그 사람과 그의 가족을 놓아 보내매
25. So he showed them, and they put the
city to the sword but spared the man and
his whole family.
26. 그 사람이 헷 사람들의 땅에 가서 성읍을
건축하고 그것의 이름을 루스라 하였더니
오늘까지 그 곳의 이름이 되니라
26. He then went to the land of the Hittites,
where he built a city and called it Luz,
which is its name to this day.
27. 므낫세가 벧스안과 그에 딸린 마을들의 주민과 다아낙과 그에 딸린 마을들의 주민과 돌과 그에 딸린 마을들의 주민과 이블르암과 그에 딸린 마을들의
주민과 므깃도와 그에 딸린 마을들의 주민들을
쫓아내지 못하매 가나안 족속이 결심하고
그 땅에 거주하였더니
27. But Manasseh did not drive out the people
of Beth Shan or Taanach or Dor or Ibleam or Megiddo and their surrounding settlements,
for the Canaanites were determined to live
in that land.
28. 이스라엘이 강성한 후에야 가나안 족속에게
노역을 시켰고 다 쫓아내지 아니하였더라
28. When Israel became strong, they pressed
the Canaanites into forced labor but never
drove them out completely.
29. 에브라임이 게셀에 거주하는 가나안 족속을
쫓아내지 못하매 가나안 족속이 게셀에서 그들
중에 거주하였더라
29. Nor did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites
living in Gezer, but the Canaanites continued
to live there among them.
30. 스불론은 기드론 주민과 나할롤 주민을 쫓아내지 못하였으므로 가나안 족속이 그들 중에 거주하면서
노역을 하였더라
30. Neither did Zebulun drive out the Canaanites living in Kitron or Nahalol, so these Canaanites
lived among them, but Zebulun did subject
them to forced labor.
31. 아셀이 악고 주민과 시돈 주민과 알랍과 악십과
헬바와 아빅과 르홉 주민을 쫓아내지 못하고
31. Nor did Asher drive out those living in Akko or Sidon or Ahlab or Akzib or Helbah or Aphek or Rehob.
32. 아셀 족속이 그 땅의 주민 가나안 족속 가운데 거주하였으니 이는 그들을 쫓아내지 못함이었더라
32. The Asherites lived among the Canaanite inhabitants of the land because they did not
drive them out.
33. 납달리는 벧세메스 주민과 벧아낫 주민을
쫓아내지 못하고 그 땅의 주민 가나안 족속 가운데 거주하였으나 벧세메스와 벧아낫 주민들이
그들에게 노역을 하였더라
33. Neither did Naphtali drive out those living in Beth Shemesh or Beth Anath; but the Naphtalites too lived among the Canaanite inhabitants of the land, and those living in Beth Shemesh and Beth Anath became forced laborers for them.
34. 아모리 족속이 단 자손을 산지로 몰아넣고
골짜기에 내려오기를 용납하지 아니하였으며
34. The Amorites confined the Danites to the
hill country, not allowing them to come down
into the plain.
35. 결심하고 헤레스 산과 아얄론과 사알빔에 거주하였더니 요셉의 가문의 힘이 강성하매
아모리 족속이 마침내는 노역을 하였으며
35. And the Amorites were determined also to
hold out in Mount Heres, Aijalon and Shaalbim,
but when the power of the tribes of Joseph increased, they too were pressed into forced
labor.
36. 아모리 족속의 경계는 아그랍빔 비탈의 바위
부터 위쪽이었더라
36. The boundary of the Amorites was from Scorpion Pass to Sela and beyond.
