빌립보서(Phi) 3장
8. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ
8. 또한 모든 것을 해로 여김은 내 주 그리스도 예수를 아는 지식이 가장 고상하기 때문이라 내가 그를 위하여 모든 것을 잃어버리고 배설물로 여김은 그리스도를 얻고
9. and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.
9. 그 안에서 발견되려 함이니 내가 가진 의는 율법에서 난 것이 아니요 오직 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암은 것이니 곧 믿음으로 하나님께로부터 난 의라
10. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
10. 내가 그리스도와 그 부활의 권능과 그 고난에 참여함을 알고자 하여 그의 죽으심을 본받아
11. and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
11. 어떻게 해서든지 죽은 자 가운데서 부활에 이르려 하노니
12. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
12. 내가 이미 얻었다 함도 아니요 온전히 이루었다 함도 아니라 오직 내가 그리스도 예수께 잡힌 바 된 그것을 잡으려고 달려가노라
14. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
14. 푯대를 향하여 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님이 위에서 부르신 부름의 상을 위하여 달려가노라
15. All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.
15. 그러므로 누구든지 우리 온전히 이룬 자들은 이렇게 생각할지니 만일 어떤 일에 너희가 달리 생각하면 하나님이 이것도 너희에게 나타내시리라
16. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.
16. 오직 우리가 어디까지 이르렀든지 그대로 행할 것이라
18. For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.
18. 내가 여러 번 너희에게 말하였거니와 이제도 눈물을 흘리며 말하노니 여러 사람들이 그리스도의 십자가의 원수로 행하느니라
19. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.
19. 그들의 마침은 멸망이요 그들의 신은 배요 그 영광은 그들의 부끄러움에 있고 땅의 일을 생각하는 자라
20. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
20. 그러나 우리의 시민권은 하늘에 있는지라 거기로부터 구원하는 자 곧 주 예수 그리스도를 기다리노니
21. who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
21. 그는 만물을 자기에게 복종하게 하실 수 있는 자의 역사로 우리의 낮은 몸을 자기 영광의 몸의 형체와 같이 변하게 하시리라
잠언(Pro) 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
여호와를 경외하는 것이 지식의 근본이거늘 미련한 자는 지혜와 훈계를 멸시하느니라

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
대저 여호와는 지혜를 주시며 지식과 명철을 그 입에서 내심이며
잠언(Pro) 9장
10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
10. 여호와를 경외하는 것이 지혜의 근본이요 거룩하신 자를 아는 것이 명철이니라
– Hosea 4:6, NIV
my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
호세아 4:6
내 백성이 지식이 없으므로 망하는도다 네가 지식을 버렸으니 나도 너를 버려 내 제사장이 되지 못하게 할 것이요 네가 네 하나님의 율법을 잊었으니 나도 네 자녀들을 잊어버리리라
호세아(Hos) 6:3
Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
그러므로 우리가 여호와를 알자 힘써 여호와를 알자
그의 나타나심은 새벽 빛 같이 어김없나니 비와 같이,
땅을 적시는 늦은 비와 같이 우리에게 임하시리라 하니라
이사야(Isa) 11장
2. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD—
2. 주님의 영이 그에게 내려오신다. 지혜와 총명의 영, 모략과 권능의 영, 지식과 주님을 경외하게 하는 영이 그에게 내려오시니,
3. and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;
3. 그는 주님을 경외하는 것을 즐거움으로 삼는다. 그는 눈에 보이는 대로만 재판하지 않으며, 귀에 들리는 대로만 판결하지 않는다.
4. but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.
4. 가난한 사람들을 공의로 재판하고, 세상에서 억눌린 사람들을 바르게 논죄한다. 그가 하는 말은 몽둥이가 되어 잔인한 자를 치고, 그가 내리는 선고는 사악한 자를 사형에 처한다.
5. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
5. 그는 정의로 허리를 동여매고 성실로 그의 몸의 띠를 삼는다.
6. The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.
6. 그 때에는, 이리가 어린 양과 함께 살며, 표범이 새끼 염소와 함께 누우며, 송아지와 새끼 사자와 살진 짐승이 함께 풀을 뜯고, 어린 아이가 그것들을 이끌고 다닌다.
7. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
7. 암소와 곰이 서로 벗이 되며, 그것들의 새끼가 함께 눕고, 사자가 소처럼 풀을 먹는다.
8. The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
8. 젖먹는 아이가 독사의 구멍 곁에서 장난하고, 젖뗀 아이가 살무사의 굴에 손을 넣는다.
9. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
9. "나의 거룩한 산 모든 곳에서, 서로 해치거나 파괴하는 일이 없다." 물이 바다를 채우듯, 주님을 아는 지식이 땅에 가득하기 때문이다.
베드로후서(2pe) 3장
18. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
18. 오직 우리 주 곧 구주 예수 그리스도의 은혜와 그를 아는 지식에서 자라 가라 영광이 이제와 영원한 날까지 그에게 있을지어다
요한복음(Joh) 5장
39. You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,
39. 너희가 성경을 연구하는 것은, 영원한 생명이 그 안에 있다고 생각하기 때문이다. 성경은 나에 대하여 증언하고 있다.
